It would be one thing if Iowa was good in that stretch. They weren't. In fact, ISU was the better team a number of those seasons.

Which ones? The better team makes the plays and/or is better prepared, better up front.

Iowa checked those boxes.

I voted to can him...... but won't happen.....to much $$$$$ buy out....
I think and always thought he was OK....never ever put him on the Mt. Rushmore of coaches like many of you did and still do......
How about all of you that had this guy going to "big time college programs" or even the "pros"....
I hope he can get it together and get them playing better....I really think the bigger issue is PLAYERS......they simply aren't very good......!!
But in saying all this.....yes....I'll be there next weekend and take the kick in the nuts like the rest of you......Go State!!

I'm still firmly on the side of "if you think Jamie should dump Campbell right now you are an idiot"
Dumping him right now is definitely dumb.
But that doesn’t mean fans cannot question the playcalling and decisions today.
JP is smart enough to understand that there shouldn’t be a knee jerk reaction but he also understands that he can’t let the football team playing like this. Again: it’s not the loss, it is how we performed and playcalling.
Let’s say if we lost due to fumbles but playcalling was good, fans would accept that sh.t happens

Greatest 1st time troll post ever. Just for all the periods.

And nobody made up his having offers to go to the pros or elsewhere in college. If you have a beef with that, take it up on the all the teams' message boards who had interest in him. And make sure you use plenty of periods!.........................................

Not now. But I think starting now he needs to show he can have a successful season without NFL talent at every skill position. He can't do that......then better start getting them. Can't do that.......don't know what to say.

And please don't start with the NIL BS.

Demon:

I think both...coaching and talent..
Watching other teams, I think many of them have better players at most positions...
Tired of hearing that one of our big strength is Specialty teams....
I think we all would agree..our defense is good enough to win as of now...

The first red flag for me was the Alamo Bowl. They had 7 false starts. There is no such thing as a program that lets that happen that has their system and sh#t together on offense. That should never ever happen. Heck even 4 false starts should never happen. The fact they couldn't get that fixed after 4 of them is truly perplexing. And it's not just false starts that game, how many times in the rezone have we had a false start in red zone the past few seasons? Anyway, I want so badly for Campbell to succeed here, I like the guy. But good God he is stubborn. The shot gun hand offs on shortage yardage? Instead of saving them for the end, constantly burning times outs in tight games. And today, not confident enough to pick up a yard against a MAC school? How does a Big 12 program end up like that?

I want the team to get better. This was not going to be a great team and the gambling losses were huge. Having Rocco and several others sick today sure didn't help. My biggest concern is that the OL is now a bigger train wreck then it was last year, which is really hard to believe. Got to give the new guy a fair chance, but today was as embarrassing as it gets. There were guys in the backfield before the RB got the ball on most running plays.
