Yeah if I were someone who was responsible for the quality of ISU football the past 45 years I wouldn't be bragging about it.

I donate just like anyone else so don't think you suddenly have any right to tell us fans that are unhappy with our investment that we have no right to express that displeasure.
You must donate more. Donating "just like anyone" is why Iowa State sucks. How much do you donate?

CW has it right--the discussions regarding this season on CF are like a Sunday School picnic compared to what happens regarding bottom tier SEC teams on their boards.

To blame CF or folks who post here is shooting the messenger. CPR and JP have created this situation. No one else. If you win--and at ISU you don't have win a lot--none of this noise happens.

What's the Nigel Tribune story? Did he almost not come here because of what he read on a message board?

He committed early summer after his JR year, when word got out guys googled his name and found his hudl page from his sophomore or freshman year and some ******* or two basically said he wasn't good enough. I think at the time he was a 2 star recruit as well. He saw that and switched to Indiana, CPR and co flipped him back right before signing day.

But I thought CPR and co couldn't recruit?

C.W. Love your work. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to reading on a weekly basis. By the way, how did you enjoy the field compared to the press box?

You're right. Nothing to see here. All is well.

Ignore the fact that the staff got a commit and allowed message board ******** to affect his thoughts on Iowa State University.

Also, ignore literally the past 2 years.

Permission to ignore the 120 years before that, too?

No.....the bashing of Nigel Tribune was prior to him signing his LOI. There was negativity on the Boards constantly saying he did not have enough stars and did not warrant a scholarship offer. Nigel Tribune almost signed with Indiana as a result. It took a helluva job of recruiting by Rhoads and the staff to get him signed to an LOI.

So bottom line is that the negative posters on this board do NOT HELP the football program, they hurt it. These negative posters talk of taking their fan support elsewhere.........and the football program would be better off if they did go somewhere else.

And that is "just telling it like it is" as so many of you put it.

I agree totally that ripping on players or recruits is unwarranted, but as many have said, the coaching staff is not immune to criticism.

He read your posts and got worried that we were all like you.
In your dreams. If Nigel Tribune really read my posts he would make every effort to get in contact with me and we would be best buds for life.

Thanks.

SOooo much better. I hate the press box. So sterile and stuffy. I'd rather sit in the stands with y'all to be perfectly honest.

Very true, and it isn't just bottom tier ones I'm sure.

Everyone is looking at this the wrong way. Here's the new plan
1. Look at a recruits offer list
2. Join the message boards of competing schools
3. Troll our own recruits so they commit to us

Now you whiners who don't pump money into the program but expect results have a job to do.
