Guys I've heard promising things about so far this spring: Baylor DE Brian Nance, TCU CB Torrance Mosley, Oklahoma State LT Victor Salako, Oklahoma TE Mark Andrews, Iowa State CB Brian Peavy and Texas Tech DT Josh Outlaw.

Apart from news about Ken Lynn switching positions, has anything more specific come out about Brian Peavy's perfomance this spring?

Yes, the coaches have made a couple of comments about how well Peavy is performing at cornerback. Kid can play, though I don't know that he can beat Wiltz is also drawing some rave reviews. Those 2 guys are the reason Lynn was shunted over to the offense.

Yeah, just saw this. First reaction was "who?" Second reaction was cautious raising of hope. Wait, nope, can't do that until after the UNI game. :skeptical:

Well since Wiltz will be our nickle, I'd say it's possible Peavy is starting opposite Tribune sooner rather than later.

Not saying you are wrong (because coaches have said he can play nickel), but I find it concerning that our nickel be 5'9 175 pounds....

It would be exciting if our starting CB's were Tribune and Peavy IMO. It would mean that Peavy has beaten out Sam Richardson, which would be a good sign IMO.

Yes, that would be a good thing. Sam is small but actually played pretty well last year. Peavy is not much bigger. But anytime a veteran starter gets beat out by a player who did not play last year would indicate that new player must be even better.
