His original tweet was quoted as fact that "Evan Payne will transfer from Loyola Marymount to Iowa State", or in other words that a decision has been made to transfer to ISU. Which was directly refuted by Evan Payne.

Agreed. You all can think what you want about the myriad of Iowa State fan twitter accounts like @istatenation, but if they hadn't tweeted what they did, I wouldn't even know who this Payne kid was, or that we're after him.

I just don't understand where the anger comes from with some of you. Ok, so you think a twitter account is annoying. Calm down and let the kids tweet what they're gonna tweet. In this instance, it seems they might have had information that many of us (myself included) did not have. Their mistake was probably in saying it was a done deal.
