So just because their Bama, they don't have play anyone or be held to the same scrutiny as everyone else? When they don't play anyone, its obviously going to be rare when they lose.
But the S&P+ does just that, because math doesn't care about the name on the front of the jerseys. They aren't just beating mediocre teams, they are consistantly destroying mediocre teams. Only an elite team can produce that kind of consistent dominance. They're beating their opponents by 14 ppg more than an average top 5 S&P+ team would be expected to. That's insane.

ISU has already played more top 25 teams than both of them combined.

That may be true at the time games were played, but it requires some adjustment, since none of ISU opponents to date are ranked as highly as they were at the time (with exception of Iowa, now #26; Iowa was #30 after Week 3). (I'm not sure about Alabama and Georgia opponent ranking comparison).

They do play The Citadel in late November and not one word is said about how bad that.

I’ll submit that Iowa, OU, and TCU aren’t really that good. Not slouches but nothing special. We need to quit whining about schedules. I think missing our first game was the hardest part of our schedule so far.
