We appreciate his hand in rebuilding the team, and I personally hope he finds success as a head coach somewhere. I'm sure Hilton would love to have you if you're ever in the area. Go clones.

Otz has been great. Hopefully he becomes a division 1 head coach real soon.

Tom, you've done well by raising a good man. TJ has a great future ahead of him. I'm looking forward to seeing him bring a team into Hilton someday as a head coach.

Tough loss but I think everyone understands why he did it and that it will benefit his resume in the long run. Can't wait for Otz to get his own program someday so we can all cheer him on!

Whoever decides to hire TJ as a head coach is going to be very happy.

This is the first time I think Ive ever actually been pretty bummed out about an ISU assistant coach leaving.

It has been a great seven seasons. Thanks for all the support you have given my son TJ. I will miss the trips to Ames and the wonderful friends I made there. At heart, I will always be a Cyclone fan. Thanks also to GMac, Fred, and Jamie for giving TJ the opportunity to pursue his dream. This has been a great ride. Cyclone fans are the greatest and most loyal fans in college sports.

All best to you and your teams in the future!

Tom Otzelberger

I remember chatting with you quickly in Boston at the National League of Cities conference--was nice to see a Cyclone there! You have a great son, and glad to see that you are so proud of him. I hope that I am and will be as proud of my sons as you are of TJ! Although we'll miss him and wish he was here, we wish him nothing but the best--great guy from what I know. Thanks for the kind note!

I remember the surprise of seeing a fellow Clone out there. It was nice talking to you.

We wish TJ nothing but success. Maybe he can come back to ISU in 10-15 years as the HC, after Fred has built us into a powerhouse program, and tries his hand at the NBA.

Lets make it 20-25 years. I'm selfish.
