Not wasting my time reading any posts in this thread, but the average fan doesn’t know the spread. Actually probably more than that. The only people who know the spread are betters and super fans. Most people see unranked vs #8. And when people storm the field people follow the lead, especially after drinking.

It also wasn’t even that good of a field storming. But it was a good win.

I love the it’s not a great look people. How many people around the country are talking about our field rush today?

While I said it's not a great look, I also said that I have no problem with it. It's going to draw some criticism, but who really cares what hawkeye fans and Okie St fans think? It's a game and supposed to be fun. I'm all for the students doing it.

Because all of the analysts realized that we were turnover heavy and if we take care of the ball better we are a whole lot better than our record. I know turnovers are part of football and the other team made good plays, etc., so don't kill the messenger. Most of them said they would pick ISU to win, but not all agreed they would cover.

Yeah, and people thought that OSU was kind of a fraudulent top 10 team due to their lack of offense and some close/fluky wins. It was kind of a trap game for bettors.

Always my favorite posts. IDC what you say, but let me grace you with my opinion.

Since when do gamblers in Las Vegas get to determine how fans and players treat the average football game? My general opinion is that we have been there now so it seemed unnecessary, but given it was Unranked vs #8, who can complain?

For the crowd that says act like you have been there before, has Iowa State really ever been there before? Yeah we have had some success lately but I would argue we really haven’t been there before.

We didn't get to storm the field last year vs OU so why not?

My kids loved being on the field and hi fiving players.

KCRG didn't know either apparently.

I noticed these channels practically made Iowa's win over PSU a national holiday but there's just a mere mention of ISU's game.

We’re the Cyclones, we should “storm” the field every game win or lose and have everyone start walking in a counter-clockwise (cyclonic) motion. Then wave at the sky and get people to donate a bunch of money to endangered birds because our mascot is a bird. It’s already one of the great traditions in CFB history even though we haven’t done it yet.

1) All field storms are unnecessary.
2) The fact that anyone cares, one way or the other, will never stop blowing my mind.
