So i'm trying to get better and all that stuff, gotta work on getting my Triglycerides down.

i've never been a fan of eating fish with exception of fish and chips. So i was thinking i might try grilling some fish and see how that goes. I really don't like salmon and want to stick with something more one the white meat and flaky side. Its always been the "fishy" taste that has always turned me off. And i'm sure the fresher the better tasting it is.

So anyone have any awesome fish grilling recipes or even some pan fried and baked ones too.

I like to coat my fish in olive oil and rub in some spices. Put it on the grill for about 2 minutes each side (no tinfoil) and the grill char will eliminate the fish taste. I used to just set it on the tinfoil but the fish just sits there in it's fishy oils and still tastes like fish.

Ahi tuna for someone who isn't a fish fan is a horrible idea, tuna is one of harshest fish in terms of "fishiness" that there is. I like it but it's pretty fishy.

I would say get some halibut from a good place and grill it with some black pepper and lemon pepper and salt. Best fish you will ever eat and it also doesn't taste like fish.

This. Easy to cook, just put some bread crumbs on it and sear it. The main problem is making sure you get good tuna in the first place.

Halibut with a little olive oil rubbed on it, and some lemon pepper, broiled.

Start with something that has a light flavor like mahi-mahi or tilapia. I'm with you that I don't like salmon, but there are good options for grilling. Just add salt and maybe a little olive oil.

you must not have ever had good ahi. It has zero fishy taste when done right.

agree with you that halibut is great.. Dont really agree with you on the ahi tuna.. I think it is great as well. I would def stay away from Salmon.. it is really fishy... in my opinion..

I've caught a 131 and 1/2 lb Ahi tuna from Hawaii, I'd say that it is probably the freshest it can be, it still tastes like fish.

Getting fresh fish is really key. Old fish can be nasty no matter what you do. It's tougher in the midwest, but fresh fish shouldn't taste fishy.

You don't even have to get too crazy. I eat a lot of Tilapia from those frozen bags you can buy at the store. They're pretty cheap.

Fresh salmon still is fishy (caught one of those in Alaska) it all depends on oil content.

Sorry for bombing this thread, but I would also recommend walleye, probably the best fresh water fish there is.
