Easton Dean is going to blow up. Cute that Ferentz thinks he can pull him away do go play in that electric offense in Iowa City.

Only commenting here as it involves Iowa but isnt it impossible to have an 8 game home schedule the years Iowa comes to Ames?

I thought the Iowa visit to Ames was aligned with years in which ISU has to play 5 road conference games just like the years ISU comes to Iowa City, Iowa is only scheduled to play 4 B1G home games.

You know, something that I learned while living in Minnesota was that Minnesotans do not care if Iowa State is physically closer to their state University than any other Division 1 FBS school, Iowa State is definitely NOT on their radar in any way. In fact, they do A LOT to discourage any knowledge of Iowa State. Back in the days of broadcast television and only cable, any Iowa State game was to be broadcast, was pre-empted by an SEC game. The Big 12 (outside of Nebraska broadcasts) were rarely seen or heard about in the Twin Cities market. I believe that part of this is their phobia about loosing in-state players to places like Iowa. Somehow, Fargo never got on their radar (hence Fargo has quite an effective recruiting program in the Gopher state). And UNI has a better chance of a mention in the Twin Cities than Iowa State.

So Chris, don't hold your breath about a game vs Minnesota. Especially when we beat that Brewster squad at the Insight Bowl using a running back that was supposed to go to the U of Mn.

Good observation -- that is correct. So unless something changes with Big 12 schedule rotation (or if CyHawk series ended), 7 is the maximum number of home games.

I’m thinking the perfect non conference schedule for wins would be, say, beating Iowa, Alabama and USC. But then, I may be a bit different from most folks. :)
