You know, something that I learned while living in Minnesota was that Minnesotans do not care if Iowa State is physically closer to their state University than any other Division 1 FBS school, Iowa State is definitely NOT on their radar in any way. In fact, they do A LOT to discourage any knowledge of Iowa State. Back in the days of broadcast television and only cable, any Iowa State game was to be broadcast, was pre-empted by an SEC game. The Big 12 (outside of Nebraska broadcasts) were rarely seen or heard about in the Twin Cities market. I believe that part of this is their phobia about loosing in-state players to places like Iowa. Somehow, Fargo never got on their radar (hence Fargo has quite an effective recruiting program in the Gopher state). And UNI has a better chance of a mention in the Twin Cities than Iowa State.
So Chris, don't hold your breath about a game vs Minnesota. Especially when we beat that Brewster squad at the Insight Bowl using a running back that was supposed to go to the U of Mn.
