Should have won today.

If nothing else though, I would make the argument this might’ve been our toughest game left on the schedule besides Oklahoma. Think Baylor is better than we think.

Unfortunately special teams cost 7 pts on a kick return. Punting cost us probably 70 yards of field position. I can't and won't fault a barely missed 47 yarder.

This game is a 10 point win, if mevis hits the one kickoff 3 yards farther and we dont make a couple boners in the punt game.
This is all the "winning in the margins" stuff we always hear about from Campbell. For as much as he preaches it we sure don't even come close to executing it. More comedie of errors today on special teams, holder has the ball sideways on a field goal attempt, our senior Qb cant take a simple snap, list goes on and on every game.

These little things are the difference between contending for a conference championship and going 7-5.

Special teams is the main reason we lost this game. Defense played well and offense was spotty but was good enough to win. Kick return was the game.
7-5 we will lose at least one more game due to special teams play.

ALL the away games are gonna be tough.

Texas at home is no gimme either.

LOTS of work to do.

Im up on the roof as much as anyone, but i thought the offense looked way better today. The defense did it usual thing, solid as a rock in 2nd half.

THAT said, there are a bunch of toss up games on the schedule, and if we lose the special teams phase, we will really struggle to win any of them.

KU will win next weekend if ISU can’t solve special teams and QB issues

No doubt they’ll be tough too.

If nothing else, I can argue this team looks like it can be as good as last years if they clean up the mental errors and punt gaffes. But I’m not sure if that’ll happen, especially based on MC’s comments post game.

ISU is better than Baylor. The refs missed a rather crucial block in the back on the Baylor kick off TD. Baylor didn't do $hit in the 2nd half. ISU will be fine. Relax folks. Be mad today, next week is October. We will kick ass the rest of the way.

If IFS and BUTS were candies and nuts, we'd celebrate Christmas everyday.

Let's stop with the "IF we did this or IF we didn't do this" bs...what happened, happened and we got beat. If we want to win games...eliminate the mistakes.
