I went to that race 4 years ago and had an absolute blast.
Tickets for hill side seating were like $150 for the whole weekend. What killed me was it cost $400/night to stay in a Super 8. They did have a shuttle from the convention center downtown that was like $25 a day and that was super handy.
Every time this thread pops up I wonder "How many opening weekends does F1 have in a year?"
