Compared to Fred, Fran has done a poor job, especially when Fran was handed a much better situation.

Lick got more out of less (and he would have a better record with that team). Iowa was going to be better regardless of the change. Fran inherited a good situation- a program returning 4 starters and 8 players total. Plus McCabe and Marble were signed, as were players that ended up at Florida and Wisconsin. He was set up too look good. Instead, he somewhat fumbled the transition, and has cost Iowa a few wins this year. ISU probably loses that game if Lick was still there.

Oh, OK, so you'd take Gatens, Basabe, Cole, Brommer, Payne, Cartwright, May, McCabe, and Marble over anybody ISU has right now?

Good to know that you think Iowa is so talented. Then I guess you'll be predicting Iowa to the NCAA tournament next year then, right?

I'd take Gatens. I think he'd start at ISU. Not so much the rest of the team.

We could use Cole and Basabe. Anyone else would be inferior to what we already have.

Plenty. I would say that 3000 would be pushing reality, so somewhere under that.

I was there and I was thinking there was some where under 1,000. Most of the crowd was black or gold with just a few red shirts mixed in. The only place there where many clone fan together was the top of the south seats. I would guess less than 500 sitting there. But I really have no idea. Just guessing

Definitely the vast majority were Hawk fans. If I really had to guess, I'd say 1000-1500 Cyclones, but I really have no idea, either.

It was a great turnout by Hawkeye fans after the Lickliter destruction job on the program. They should have liked what they saw and come back again. That team shows hustle, heart and some promise, and an exciting style of play. They deserve the fan support that the Lickliter era ruined.

Sounds about right from a fan. But Iowa fans could just as legitimately claim that Scotty and DG are the only guys Iowa could use.

ISU doesn't need cole... I'd take Basabe and Gattens but thats about it. Ejim is just warming up and will become the best player from both teams. With Scotty, Allen, and Sledge and another year under Ejim's belt, he'll own teams like iowa.

Not sure i've seen Gattens defend to the level of Anderson.
