This topic is from drlove - thanks for the awesome idea!!

Drlove mentioned that he had a dream recently about Cyclone football. I'll let him share the details of it, but it begged the question - have you ever dreamed about Cyclone sports? What happened during this portion of your REM cycle - did we win a big game, lose one, were you Cy for the day, etc.? Give us details!

I dreamt once I was allowed to give the pregame speech before a football game. My passion in that speech was quite inspiring!!!

I remember one from 20+ years ago. Before the NCAA had OT in football, we were in the midst of the long losing streak against EIU. In the dream, I was on the team. The game went into double sudden death OT tied at 32. We drove all the way inside the 5 yard line needing ANY score to win. I then convinced Jim Walden to let me go in and kick the extra-point for the 33-32 win.

A friend shared one yesterday. Hope she doesn't mind.

Ill paraphrase. Coach CPR and Coach Mangino recruited her to go spy on KStates practices and her cover was to be a yoga instructor.

I dreamt once that I came out of the stands because the team was in foul trouble. it was weird, cause it was definitely the team, but clearly not Hilton. I was a stud though, which is awesome, cause I suck in real life.

I had a dream last week about this year's basketball game at KU. We were out there killing it up 48-16 at half. When I say "we" I mean we as in I was playing on the team. :biglaugh:

Oh back in the day I was going to be the next Jeff Hornacek playing for Johnny. Those were good dreams... I was the slowest white guy in the planet playing the point but I was one of those guys that had a knack for getting the ball to my teammates in the perfect position. I was a pistol, let me tell ya.

I literally just had a dream about meeting CyCash and Vikes at some event in Ames. It was super weird though. That's about as close as I've got to a Cyclone dream.

This one is a little long-winded but seems appropriate. For reference, this occurred the week before I graduated from ISU a while back.

I had a dream once that I was notified by the business college that, because I missed 3 courses during high school, I would not be allowed to graduate on time. The only way to rectify the situation was to go back to high school and complete the courses the following semester. Because of some odd loophole in IAHSAA regulations, I was allowed to be on the football team even though I was already 22 at the time. Naturally, I played middle linebacker and broke every all-time tackle/interception record the school/state had.

I graduated from high school/college, was accepted into the graduate program at Iowa State, and was a preferred walk-on. Fast forward to the first game (because you know, dreams), and I get the drive-stopping tackle in the last second of the game against Oklahoma at home to keep them from tying it up. Crowd goes wild. Alarm goes off.

One I had a few weeks ago:

Was watching ISU tournament game. Final minute, ISU has chance to tie. Ejim inbounds to Kane near halfcourt, then they someone collide and ball goes directly to opposing player, who is open for an easy fast-break basket. My heart sinks, we'll be down two scores -- but then he misses the dunk! Mad scramble for possession ensues, but clock is ticking, and I’m thinking, “we won’t have enough to time to score!â€￾ ... woke up before game concluded.

Fairly mundane, except for two silly details:
* After Ejim threw inbound-pass, he ran straight toward Kane for no reason, and they collided in slapstick fashion.
* Opposing player didn’t just blow the dunk, he misjudged badly and missed the rim entirely ... so he elevated for the jam then slammed the ball straight down to the floor, with a loud thud.

I had a funny one about Naz Long trying to get me to set him up with Kate Upton. That's what happens when I fall asleep reading CF on mobile.

Aren't dreams wonderful? K-State fans dream of watching the team practice too. The only way anyone will see K-State practice if they are not part of the team or staff is in their dreams. Coach Snyder makes sure of that.
