Arcade machine: you could play a lot of Bubble Bobble for a quarter

I really loved A Link to the Past on Gameboy.

Mom and Dad drove us to Disney World once and that game, a Nintendo Power, extra batteries, and a lotta Sour Patch Kids kept me sane.

Oh man. No way I can pick just one game. I'll do each of my favorites (at the moment) on the systems I've owned. Even that's tough though.

NES: Blaster Master
Gameboy: Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
SNES: Chrono Trigger
PS1: Final Fantasy VII
PS2: Final Fantasy X
Gamecube: Metroid Prime
Xbox 360: The Orange Box
Wii: Super Mario Galaxy
PS3: Uncharted 2
PS4: Doom (2016)
Switch: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
PS5: Astro Bot
PC: Warcraft III

Admit it. You loved playing the old Baldur’s Gates with me when I insist on smashing everything possible, and always jumping everywhere so that my dwarf guy makes the “hut hut” sound constantly.
I play games with my son online sometimes, and the most hilarious part about it is me screwing everything up repeatedly (he's a lot better than me, as you would expect). We played Streets of Rogue a few times, and I'd inevitable blow up a wall or start a melee at the wrong time and get us both killed lol.

God of War on PS4/5. I'm usually not into these types of games, but holy cow was this one a cinematic masterpiece. I've probably played through GTA5 the most. NCAA Football 2014 has by far and away the most play hours. I have literal MONTHS of gametime put into that game.

What is your favorite video game of all time? On what platform?
I used to love to play the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty games. But one of my favorite games was something called Black. Just plain Black, short for Black Ops, I guess. Most of the guns in that game had a nearly endless supply of bullets with clips that held 75 rounds and one that even held 150.

As you can probably tell, I liked the first person shooter games, but I didn't want to have to command a whole squad and tell others on my "team" what to do and where to go. I liked being a rogue operator who didn't have to worry about that kind of thing. I also enjoyed the Metal Gear Solid games.

Super Mario 64 - N64
Zelda Ocarina of Time -N64

Bubble Bobble - arcade machine in Friley

Tombraider - Playstation

Twisted Metal 2 - Playstation

Crazy Taxi - Sega Genesis

Many, many late night drunkin' NHL 95 tournaments with friends. One night I got so pissed I couldn't score on Ed Belfour (Chicago) on 40+ shots and lost 1-0, I went outside and punched a tree.

My friend always used Pittsburgh with Lemieux, Jagr, Francis, Nedved

I'd counter with Philly. Lindros and Brind'Amour were my jam. I would forecheck the **** out of him and piss him off.

I was called for a LOT of penalties

Arcade game - Robotron
Atari - Adventure
NES - original Mario Bros
PC - this is where I play all my games now, and it's really hard to choose. If I had to pick one, it would be Planescape Torment.

I loved the driving games. Old school upright version of Pole Position is my favorite. Before that it was Turbo. Both at Aladdin's Castle at North Grand Mall. Before that it was Speed Way - basically a car on a stick with a moving track, in some cubby hole of Crossroads Mall in Waterloo.

I feel so old. Can't narrow to only one, too many eras & platforms.

Cut my teeth on Pong, then Atari Breakout/Pinball.
Arcade: Space Invaders, Asteroids, Galaga, Centipede, Pac-Man.
"Second gen": Super Mario.
Sports: Madden, NCAA football and basketball (mostly before the "pause"), haven't played any of those consistently in quite a few years.

The only thing I've played with much frequency in past few years is MLB9Innings on iPhone. I don't follow MLB much at all, but it's easy game to play on phone, not many moving parts on a play-by-play basis (compared especially to doing football).

And, I'm an outstanding pitcher, regardless of who's on the mound, if I may brag. :)

Updated to include Pac-Man. Can't believe I forgot to include it. A friend had books about patterns/strategy and we played the s**** out of it at the local restaurant for months.

Playstation: Final Fantasy 7

N64: Ocarina of Time

Other ones are sooo hard.

There are a ton of good options to choose from, and different ones that highlight each era.

But I think I'd have to go with The Last of Us\The Last of Us 2.
