I know we have had threads on who we think we should drop as an OOc game but I was wondering how the rest of you would like to see the schedule play out (As far as ISU vs OU and Texas.)

Would you like it if the games were split up? (one at the beginning and one at the end)

Would you like to play both OU and Texas at home one year and on the road another year or would you like it if the games were split?

I want them split up with one at home and one on the road and not back to back unless there is a bye week in between.

I would also love to see them come up here in November some of the time too.

Pretty much this.

I think we both know that will never happen.

I agree with the above scenario but part of me would also like to get those two games over as soon as we could.

If I were Pollard, I would be making a push right now to get Texas and Oklahoma in Ames on opposite years. Not because of a competative advantage, but just because of ticket sales. Having big games like that on your home schedule boosts sales and it would be nice to have steady sales rather than up and down sales every other year.

I would definitely want it split home-and-away.

As for getting them to ISU in cold-weather time, I suggest working the schedule (somewhat) this way:

1. Rivalry matchups in the final week (ours could be KSU since KU-Mizzou would take precedence over ISU-Missouri)

2. Keep opening opponent the same each year, with regionality if possible (to assume Red River Rivalry would remain in early October) ... so maybe we could play KU in that one.

3. The rest of the schedule rotates front-to-back. So, Game 8 in Season A becomes Game 2 in Season B, and so on. Set up each school's sequence so each south team would have to come north in November at least once each year.

I don't know whether they'll go to great lengths to restructure it to this extent, but that's how I would set it up.

It would also be cool if ISU had the 5-home/4-away schedule during seasons when we play @Iowa. I'd rather have 7-home/5-road every year instead of the 6-6/8-4.
