Game Day- Parking Question

Wife and I are coming back to Ames for Homecoming game this year. First time in over 20 years we will be able to come for a game. Bought a couple tickets through StubHub.

I assume it will be a well attended game. Since we don't have a parking lot pass, what are our best options. Does one of the campus town churches or some vacant lot landlord run a pay lot?

Thanks.

If you're looking to save money and don't mind a little stroll, the lots by Towers/Cyclone Sports Complex are just slightly farther to the stadium than the public pay lots by Hilton.

Otherwise, Lincoln Center Hy-Vee is about a 15-minute walk.

I always parked at the Ice Arena, just south of the towers. At the most, a 15 minute walk.

Are you going to tailgate? Makes a difference in where you might want to park if you're wanting to do more than just park and walk to Jack Trice.

Since you haven't been to a game for so long, I would say go ahead and pay for one of the public lots and tailgate. We usually either wind up in the student lot (if our son and friends want us hauling stuff for their tailgate) or Vet Med. I also enjoy just tailgating a while after the game until the traffic clears out.
