They were looking for applicants last spring, you guys could have applied.
I posted the original CF thread about this and nominated Cyclone Larry.. who I just realized was MIA on Twitter today.

wasn’t it some little boy looking thing? After seeing one half of this new position, I don’t understand the point.
Maybe it will change throughout the year, but it seems like a giant waste of money.

I feel like this one likely one of those "we already know who we're hiring but we need to give the appearance this was a legit interview process" posts. How many people in Central Iowa are actually qualified for the job and aren't already tied down with professional obligations? The obvious answer is so many that an Iowa fan won out in the end.
Jfc guys, she's paid to pump dumb@ss sponsor promotions. What do you want her to do, not do the stupid promotions? Yeah it's annoying and she was definitely over the top but I'm sure the sponsors were thrilled. The atmosphere sucked because ND plays a ridiculously boring brand of football and we let them do it.
And move the students back. I know monetary needs, but a f——ing dull game atmosphere will drive fans away. TV time outs need to be one minute long and let them scroll ads the other 2 minutes.I get that, but the band could play, the cheerleaders could yell and get us loud. I don’t think we need a hawkeye lady to scream at us on the big screen that we need to be excited.
What a stupid waste of money.
Or better food options. Where was Chuckie's tenderloins? Why waste money on something fans don't want or need. Use this money for something else. Maybe a few more porta-jons.
I don't disagree. I was just stating a fact.I don't think I'm alone in saying that I prefer college sports over pro because they are different. The college atmospheres and traditions are a big part of the appeal.
I thought it was a little much watching on TV. It's nice they're trying to improve the game experience, but it didn't feel like college football to me.Do they just play rap music between plays now?
They were content to never try to win the game and lose 21-3. It was one of the most bizarre games I've ever watched. The stadium looked and sounded great on TV to start the game. By the end of it, I felt bad for the fans.Jfc guys, she's paid to pump dumb@ss sponsor promotions. What do you want her to do, not do the stupid promotions? I saw a lot of fans calling for more in-game entertainment because the timeouts were so empty and boring. That was definitely a topic of conversation. The thing is we DON'T want it.
Yeah there was a 4th down towards the end of the game when they were only down a couple scores that I couldn't believe they punted on. It ending up being that weird punt that pinned us deep I think but it was like a 4th and 4 around midfield or somethingThey were content to never try to win the game and lose 21-3. It was over the top in person too. I did sort of just realize it felt like the band hardly played 3rd down music, etc. today. Usually those songs are buzzing in my head for a while following the game (in a good way, love the band)I thought it was a little much watching on TV. Who gives a **** which sports teams people follow? She's doing her job. Don't look now but our PA announcer is also an Iowa fan. He also does a good job.
Some of you need to get a grip on **** that actually matters. You may not like the stadium host stuff but you likely aren't the target audience. They're trying to get younger people.
