Every time I saw that woman on the screen I thought of some sort of "WE ARE LIVE ON MTV COMING TO YOU FROM SPRING BREAK 2003!" type vibe.

This. Except also throw in a sponsor plug by her. "MTV Spring Break brought to you by Taco Bell. Head for the border and then head for your toilet!"Every time I saw that woman on the screen I thought of some sort of "WE ARE LIVE ON MTV COMING TO YOU FROM SPRING BREAK 2003!" type vibe.
This is a phenomenal comp.Every time I saw that woman on the screen I thought of some sort of "WE ARE LIVE ON MTV COMING TO YOU FROM SPRING BREAK 2003!" type vibe.
They send out an email about her a while back.Whether or not she’s a hawk fan or whatever, they could have put out some social media post introducing her to get out ahead of any hawk stuff. Engagement is spot on. But people want to engage with people who are interested in the same thing. People aren’t going to want to engage with someone who next weekend could be rooting for the other freaking team, regardless of its Iowa or not. It’s just weird. And if she’s for real an Iowa fan just makes it 10x worse.
Thanks, I hate it.I doubt she's getting paid much. In-game hosts are the norm in pro sports.
Or yell "Shut the F### Up!One way to show disdain is to boo her incessantly every time she screeches into the mic.
Get someone who knows the gameday experience. She doesn’t have a clue what can get people going. When she was in the student section, they looked at her with the look of, is this Jimmy from down the hall’s mom?Whether or not she’s a hawk fan or whatever, they could have put out some social media post introducing her to get out ahead of any hawk stuff. What’s the most effective way for us to come together and eliminate this position? I don’t even want to make it about an individual, just the position in general. Petition, ‘Let’s Go State’ chants to cover up those segments, specific amount donation campaign to We Will in support of eliminating it?
Heard way too many first down calls for ND….Yes that wasn’t good either. Did we ever hear a complete call? LOL.
That at least can be fixed. I don’t think that screechy voice can be..
What, that she was supporting the Iowa Air National Guard?wtf is this…. Did they not think we would find this?
We could go full Texas and have a DJ instead
A host seems very Class A Baseball
I was thinking about the same thing. Could the stadium overpower her shrieking with boos? Would boos look and sound bad on tv? Would a nice "Shut the hell up" chant work? Could we NIL the band to follow here around and play the fight song close enough to her that she can't yell into the microphone? What’s the most effective way for us to come together and eliminate this position? I do too. But this is what we get when the loudmouths who've been around for 5 years decide their opinions matter more than people who have been here for decades. We actually have young fans calling for less band like a college football game is supposed to be a house party aux cord.It was over the top in person too. I did sort of just realize it felt like the band hardly played 3rd down music, etc. today. Usually those songs are buzzing in my head for a while following the game (in a good way, love the band)
I'm just saying people who are whining about this being a waste of money are clueless. She probably gets paid a couple hundred bucks a game. Thanks, I hate it.
