I've made some really hairy trips to Hilton before and was surprised by this.
How many times has that happened? I've made some really hairy trips to Hilton before and was surprised by this. I wasn't going to make the drive this time due to combo of weather and opponent. If it was a Big 12 game I probably would have left early and been prepared to stay there though.
I wondered that too, but I figure they mean the word "cancelled" instead of "postponed". Unfortunate. This might sting when looking for enough wins to make the NCAA tournament. I hope they can reschedule it. It’s not like Omaha is far.

Pretty weak ass if true. Iowa squeezed in Duke 2 days before de pantsing us and then played Wisconsin 3 days after that, too. This shouldn't be difficult to make up. Bizarre decision to not, IMO.The challenge is probably more when. I doubt TJ is going to want to drop this in the middle of the big 12 schedule and I'd assume when players get back from Christmas they are going to want to lock in on Baylor prep.
I highly doubt we miss the NCAA tournament because we didn't get the chance to beat the #289th team in the country per KenPom. Omaha is horrible. But I get your point. This might sting when looking for enough wins to make the NCAA tournament. I hope they can reschedule it. It’s not like Omaha is far.

As a fan no game until Jan stinks, but best decision. Let players get home before cold & bad weather hit tomorrow night. Plus for players flying they don't have to adjust return to Ames flights if game was rescheduled to next week. The announcement on the website says that neither game will be made up.
Yeah, it won't matter much for NCAA resume. 7-11 in the Big 12 and 0-1 against Missouri would only net us 16 wins. 16-14 won't get in, but 17-14 with that 17th win being Omaha wouldn't matter either. We have to hope for 8-10 and 1-0 vs Mizzou. 18-12 should do it.I highly doubt we miss the NCAA tournament because we didn't get the chance to beat the #289th team in the country per KenPom.
