inspired by the woodworkers thread, any of my fellow Cyclone fans have any good game room games they would like to share?
I will start it off by saying I'm a big fan of (EM) electro mechanical games as I understand how they work more verses (SS) solid state.

I'll start it off with my pinball machine. it's a 1977 Captain Fantastic. Overall an easy game, but fun to play.
unfortunately I do not have the X-rated back glass, Thanks DAD!

another one that I consider mine is the Wizard. it is the brother of Captain Fantastic and a really fun game. This is my brothers machine but I grew up playing this one so I consider it mine. Overall not that hard of a machine, but has more skill shot scoring then the Cap.

I also have a 1955 United Deluxe Clipper Shuffle Alley.
fun game I picked up over the summer. its a shuffleboard table, but with pins! overall a fun game, especially with the with the flash-o-matic scoring and easy vs. hard strike option.

last month I found a 1957 United mini ball bowler Bowling Alley for sale. The price was so good that me and buddy drove all the way out to Colorado Springs to pick this baby up. we left Friday at 10:30PM and got back Saturday 9:30PM. long trip but well worth it. this is the last couple of pics. its the machine that is teal.

Finally from my youth and going to Loco Joes and playing the nickel arcade along with watching the Jacy Halloway Cyclones on TV i picked up a Lethal Enforcers II light gun game. This is a bit of a story, but originally I bought this in 2013 when we moved into our new house. Unfortunately the shipping company dropped it so I never got it, but was finally able to find a replacement in 2018sh. no current pictures of this but will try to remember to get some between sleep time and work.

as an side note I'm also currently holding onto an old CRTV so that I can play Yoshi Safari on Super Nintendo and Lethal Enforces I on Saga.

Feel free to PM if you have any questions or would like to play the games. the main killer of of old games is neglect.
The pictures that I uploaded are apparently to large so I will try again in the morning.

Owning a pinball machine is definitely on my to do list. Interested to hear how many posters have taken that plunge.

I always wanted a good Tornado foosball table and found one a few years ago for my basement, so that's all I have so far. Never been into pinball really. I think my next purchase will be the old 4 player X-Men game that will be released by arcade1up in November. Yeah, I know that they aren't full scale old school cabinets, but I always loved that game and I think I'll make the purchase.

Some basic knowledge of wiring, use of a soldering iron from time to time, and replacing parts/cleaning should be basic needs if owning a solid state machine. Anything 80s/90s/2000s should be easy to work with. Don't be afraid to tinker inside the machine for easy repairs or you'll be paying someone else to do your routine maintenance and parts replacement. Lots of resources online and people wo can help you.

Biggest drawbacks are the price and the room they take up. However, if you don't overpay, you'll always make your money back or more.

I have a Warrior foosball table (usually an $800+ foosball table) that I bought almost new from some guy needing to move for $125. Got the blacklight kit and the kids absolutely love it.

The arcade1ups are really nice for a small footprint and easy to move. You can also upgrade the monitor, buttons/joysticks, and replace the system with a raspberry pi and add as many arcade games as you like. If you ever go full size, those suckers are super heavy due to the CRT monitors. Some of the modern ones have LCDs, but will cost a bit more. I used to have PCs with MAME on some of mine, but since switched over to a Taito TypeX3 with a buch of emulated games loaded in there. Way easier to connect to an arcade cab than a PC.

Those mini ball bowlers have always interested me, but they just take too much space and I think my wife would kill me if I brought that in the house. How do they play? Does the ball feel similar to rolling a skeeball?

Sadly don’t have a game room. Grew up in Arnold’s Park a short bike ride from the amusement park. Lived in the 2 arcades when I was young. Just visited the pinball hall of fame in Vegas last week. They have several old machines from the Park that I probably used to play
