Getting a bleach stain out of carpet

Mild... sure. What were you using bleach to cover up????
Bleach really doesn't stain from what I know, it literally dilutes any coloring in the fabric. There's nothing to remove because it already caused a chemical reaction.

Pick it up and put it in the record or cd player, etc. Bleach shouldn't be lying around on the carpet, it should be soothing your ears.
First of all...if you whack someone...don't do it on white carpet.
Second of all...bleach won't fully hide the blood or dna evidence...

My 92 year old mother spilled bleach on her off white carpet when she was taking bleach into the bathroom to clean something. Yeah, a little bit of overkill, but obviously she is very old school cleaning. I did "clean" the carpet with a carpet cleaner with bleach in it, and it did help a little, but in general, unless you have something to stain the carpet back to the original color, you are SOL.

You likely have a nylon or polyester carpet. The bleach has actually taken the dye out of the fiber. There's no recoloring it or "getting the bleach out"
Call your local flooring or carpet store. If you have extra carpet somewhere they will patch it. If you don't they can take a piece out of a closet or from under the stairs (some inconspicuous place) and swap them. If it's fuzzy carpet you'll never know.

I bought a chair from Craigslist and gave the cushions the 409 disinfectant with bleach treatment. On the new carpet they had just installed in my apartment. Light brown carpet. Light brown square surrounded by a much lighter brown circle where I had sprayed. Stood out like a sore thumb. Some gentle spraying and vacuuming over a few days and a large, off color but indiscernible circle of light colored carpet in the middle of the room. Moved out four months later, they didn't notice.
In college a moron roommate dropped a bunch of bleach on living room carpet. I painted it exactly matching with my water colors (design student). I’m sure it was a bad surprise for the next carpet cleaning.
Not sure why, but I read this as "a mormon roommate" . . . I was wondering what his religion had to do with it!!!
