Not against Gonzaga, but unless we are going to add Pac12 schools I'm not sure I see the fit for Gonzaga. BYU would their closest opponent and I would assume if we add Gonzaga it's not just MBB, but all their sports.

I am not crazy about adding schools that don't have football because I believe we will eventually see a P3 and I would prefer the Big12 create a 20-24 team conference based on schools that offer FB. If the Big12 eventually adds some Pac teams, then I could see Gonzaga as a fit.

I applaud Yormark for turning over every stone to see where the Big12 can create revenue. I would be curious what he thinks college sports will look like in 5 years, 10 years & 15 years. There is so much up in the air right now with college sports, that long-range planning probably feels like throwing darts in the dark with NIL, Realignment, New Media Platforms, NCAA Reform, Student Athlete Employee Status, etc.
Yormach has stated several times publicly that he wants the big 12 to be a National Conference. (Across all 4 time zones I think it has to do with the money that can be derived from adding west coast audiences!!
I would like to see the Big 12 & Pacific 12 combine to be a MEGA CONFERENCE LIKE THE BIG TEN AND THE SEC!
ITS EITHER FIGHT FIRE W/ FIRE OR PERISH EVENTUALLY!!

Let's think WAY OUTSIDE THE BOX and bring in one of the founding members of the Big Ten.

I am of course, talking about U of Chicago . . . . . . :jimlad:

The football program hasn't been the same since that nuclear chain reaction that happened under their stadium. :p

One would think that would have been a benefit for the U of Chicago football program …

Although those pads don’t look to be regulation.

You are right!
@ UNC, @ Syracuse, Clemson and BC.
Slackers! :)
I always saw that it was supposed to be five games too. But it looks like they will play six ACC games next year: Wake Forest, Clemson, Duke, Louisville, NC State, and Pitt.

Won't happen even if it makes sense. That means consolidation (running efficiently) and people losing their jobs. No human signs up for that.

So I take this isn't happening. Need more rumors to fill my day
I'm not convinced there was ever anything to this. If you look, the reports talk about Gonzaga talking to the B12 as well as the Pac and ACC. That does not imply mutual interest. Of course Gonzaga would like a major conference upgrade. This doesn't mean any of the power conferences are really taking a serious look. Gonzaga reached out, we said thanks but no thanks, nothing more.

I thought Timme was a senior last year. Feels like he's been there forever.
