Good date restaurant in Ames

Taking the girlfriend out this weekend. Looking for something like The Cafe, not expensive like Aunt Maude's, though. I take her to The Cafe every time, so looking to change it up a little bit.

i took my wife to applebees for our first date (because it is her favorite) what she didn't know was that the night before i had gone there with a different girl. thank goodness she didnt find out about that until we were married. we joke about it now but for a while she was really pissed for some reason

Dublin Bay is always good, another good choice is GeAngelos in Norhtern Lights. They have good Italian food at pretty good prices.
