Cliche but Homer Simpson.

He's been on for so long multiple generations know him, he is funny and emotional at times, and his show is a top 5 of all time. I know it's not a sexy or indie-type pick, but Homer has much more of a large-scale legacy over people like Walter White or Don Draper.
