The release of Halo 3 was a huge event my freshman year at Iowa State. I remember sitting in the UDCC reading a USA Today article about how the night it went on sale might be the major entertainment event of 2007. Spent countless hours playing in my friends' dorm room in Roberts, and the next year in our suite in Buchanan. Everything I've heard about the new one is that it's one of the best games of the genre period. Looking forward to playing it eventually

The visuals are amazing. I would say it is worth the money, plus there is new missions coming out every week for ten weeks.

Is it me or do these missions seem more intense then previous halo's? The flood were annoying but these promethean dog things climb all over the place and shoot you in the head. Then you got the warrior guys who gain shields from those flying things, plus they teleport. However, its very gratifying to sneak up behind one and shiv the ******.

I just hate the knights, one head shot to the dogs takes them down but those knights are tricky. The best method for the knights is that one shot rifle but you have to hit them in the head with it twice or three times in the body. Otherwise, the saw is the next best weapon for them as you can kill them with a full clip. If you don't have either of those, take their shield down with the full clip of an AR and then swith and hit them in the head with your BR until they die.

The hardest part legendary solo for me was when there are 7 knights in a row at the end of the last mission and you get no checkpoints.

****. Lack of checkpoints can be absolutely maddening sometimes.... and then sometimes (noticed it in the mammoth mission i'm on right now) there are checkpoints all the damn time (every time you get into the mammoth)

I've been playing the game co-op with a buddy on campaign and it lags like a *****. It really pisses me off too. It's not our internet connections, we've tried both and it works fine for all other co-op games we play. I'm hoping we don't have an issue in multi-player.

The game is just meh for me.

Not sure why, everyone I've played with has run smooth.

We had no problem with lagging

My roommate and I beat the campaign in legendary coop in a couple days.

I was a little disappointed there wasn't a bigger boss battle in the end... Cortana dies *GASP*

I just finished heroic solo this afternoon. I'll do legendary eventually, but wanted to knock out the campaign. Damn good job they did with this game, not just on the graphics side, which was excellent, but the writing side as well.

As for the above spoiler, i'll add my own

I don't believe it. there's no way she's gone for good.

I'm absolutely loving the entire story.

I have to think that the Composer's ability to convert biological life to digital, and back again, will somehow allow Chief to revive Cortana in a later game. They really pushed their relationship, and the fact that she actually 'touched' Chief's armor has got me thinking they'll revive her and make her real somehow.
