I was givin 10 dollas by Brian Bosworth and Jamel Holloway when I was 11 and they played at Jack Trice. I had Sideline passes and the Boz ask me to go get them some hot dogs. So I went up in the middle of the 3rd quarter and bought them hot dogs. Boz and Holloway ate them during the 3rd quarter. Now here is where my 15 minutes of fame comes in. The next day there was big controversy because they were eating hot dogs during the game and the DM Register wrote an article about it. To the depth of wondering where the hot dogs came from. They interviewed both teams coaches an ask them about the hot dogs. The interviewed players from both sides about the hot dog eating. The ISU side felt totally disrespected about it. Little did they know. Little old 11 year old Knownothing bought them for them. Boz gave me his elbow pads for doing it.

I will remain angry at this story until you note what you did with those hotdogs before giving them to the OU players.

I was in a photo shoot for the first edition of Trend Magazine. I was also on the cover of an ISU Animal Science promotional brochure. Those were the peak years of my modeling career.

In high school a WWII veteran I was doing a report for on for English class had his American flag stolen from his yard around when I was interviewing him. I got him a new one and my English teacher surprised me by having a local news network cover it when I gave it back to him. Apparently a local radio show talked about it a bit too, but I never was able to get a recording.

I've had ESPN zoom in on me several times when I attended games.

During the ISU-Iowa game at Jack Trice in 2007 (where Iowa State kicked 5 FGs to win) I was a temp hire for the Versus network as a sound guy on the field and was directly under the goal post when the game winning kick was in the air so I could catch the clang sound if it hit the upright. I'm the first person to acknowledge that the kick is good as you can see me jumping up and down with the sound dish. Got $200 for it too.

And I have to give props to Abe2010 for the hookup on that one.

That's all I got.

Spelling and typing I can live with. It's grammar mistakes I just can't forgive myself for.

Just messing with you...

Truth be told, it's why I can't keep up on a lot of gameday threads or hot topic threads. I spend too much time correcting/editing my own posts!

It's probably also why you will likely never see me texting or tweeting. :)

Oh, been on tv several times for ISU basketball games

WMT aired our first football game junior year, and I guess they had a lot of good things to say about me. Still havent listened to it.

45 minutes of fame and counting...

1. I beat Clayton Korver (one of Kyle Korver's younger brothers, who played for Drake) at a 3 point contest in high school.

2. I once got my picture in the paper when I was a little kid for helping with flood recovery in Council Bluffs.

3. I've called in to the Jan Michealson show on WHO Radio.

A picture of me was used in a New York Times article about Eustachy's partying/firing. I've been in a few local commercials & my band has opened for Hairball, Great White, & Little River Band @ the Fairgrounds & Seven Flags events center. I'd trade it all for a RAGBRAI gig, though.

I'm pretty sure this topic has been covered before, and I'm pretty sure I gave the same answer. I was on the front page of the Iowa City Press-Citizen sports page. Take a look at my profile pic, and now imagine it with this headline:
"Rude fans give new meaning to notion of 'hostile environment' ".

I think that's really it.

I was up on top of the Hilton basket support trying to change out a malfunctioning shot clock during a Big Monday game about 20 years ago. The camera guy was shooting literally straight up at us as we tried to get the old one out of the frame and get the new one up and working. After we got down I was relieved when I realized that I had not worn the pair of jeans that I had ripped a big hole in the crotch of earlier in the week.
