I was on TV in an episode of Heavy Haulers titled "Get the Church to the Wedding on Time" on TLC. My roommate from Ireland emails me whenever it is on over there. Only was on air state side 3 times. It pops up every so often across the pond.

Now here is where my 15 minutes of fame comes in. The next day there was big controversy because they were eating hot dogs during the game and the DM Register wrote an article about it. To the depth of wondering where the hot dogs came from. They interviewed both teams coaches an ask them about the hot dogs. The interviewed players from both sides about the hot dog eating. The ISU side felt totally disrespected about it. Little did they know. Little old 11 year old Knownothing bought them for them. Boz gave me his elbow pads for doing it.
I will remain angry at this story until you note what you did with those hotdogs before giving them to the OU players.

I understand. It was the Boz though. If you were my age you would understand how big of a figure he was in college. Probably the biggest star in college football history and that is not an understatement

The broadcast of the Houston Bowl started with a clip of me playing trumpet in the parking lot (about 4 seconds worth). Played 1st horn for a performance of excerpts from Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, hardest thing I've ever played and nailed it.

When living in Iowa City years ago I went to watch the ISU-Iowa FB game with my wife and was interviewed by the local news station at Sports Column at halftime to get an ISU fan's opinion on the new $90 ticket prices for the game at Jack Trice. I was about 10 drinks in at that point and spoke about it being a small price to pay and historic Jack Trice Stadium being the greatest venue on earth - which made the news... what did not was the entire bar booing me, me losing my composure, and saying Nile Kinnick was a pedophile to the camera. They took my microphone and told me that was enough. My wife was so proud...

Unless having a solo for my high school jazz band in the Iowa Jazz Band Championships counts, then no. I haven't had my 15 minutes.

Anything I've done in public has been basically band related.

OH oh! I was on the Floppy Show when I was a little kid. I remember watching myself on TV!

Iowa Jazz Championships for me as well. Going on stage for the finals and playing my solo was very nerve racking but having everyone clap and hearing my family cheer after was something i will never forget. Plus i have it on CD so i can relive the glory days

During 4A title game this year I signaled in plays so I was on TV a bunch and I think all 8 people watching texted me about it.
Was a finalist in the Bill Riley talent show when I was in 6th grade singing Great Balls of Fire
Won "Princess Popstar" 15 years later on an Alaskan Cruise singing the same song
I used to do TV and Radio too but that doesn't count. "Local" celebrity

This isn't my 15 minutes, but just a cool story bro moment. I carried out Keith Urban's platform for his encore in the crowd during his show in Monticello last summer. Stage crew gives some interesting stories.

Went to Dean's List with Jamaal Tinsley. I learned what VIP treatment was on that day. He was banging a girl that I was friends with. He's real chill.

I know several stories of Keith urban that would not make his wife very proud. Or multiple young girls dads very proud
