I bet Matt and that call would go about like:

Before anybody framed this as a Nebraska vs ISU job debate it’s not. The point is there are places that will hire Campbell that are far better jobs than Nebraska.
Campbell isn’t going to Nebraska for the same reason he said no to Tennessee (multiple times). Overly involved boosters and their fan base/media are out of touch on reasonable expectations. Campbell isn’t going to Nebraska.
Whenever non-Iowa State fans ask me why Campbell would stay at ISU I use Nebraska as an example in response.
Bo Pelini in seven years as head coach of Nebraska won at least 9 games in each of those seven years. If Campbell won at least 9 games every year for 7 straight years at Iowa State, fans are clamoring for a statue outside the stadium (that Campbell would probably be against.)
I don't know if Campbell is at Iowa State for the long, long-term but it has become evident that he realizes that not every opportunity outside of ISU is a grass is greener on the other side situation.
