Don't remember the exact words but Walters said something about ISU avoiding tbe worst loss in school history and Heft said well it's not over yet. Every time someone complains about a close loss I think back to that moment. That and the 51 or 54-0 OU game.
There was also a 77-14 game against Nebraska in 1997. They ran a QB sneak from like 4 yards out and scored heading into half, extending the lead to 63 to 7. At halftime. On the halftime interview Osborne said he called a sneak because he didn't think they'd score from that far out. Basically apologized for scoring on us on national TV because it was so lopsided at halftime. Interview starts at 1hr 32min.

Yeah just tell your boss you won't be doing your job because the company isn't hitting the projected numbers right

They call them both, I'm surprised they don't have some choice in overlap season.

Boxter- I’ve been listening to Heft for what would have to be near 40 years (that sounds like ALOT). He lives for ISU and I love that he’s also a fan on the radio.

Ah, man, don't get me wrong. I love Eric, just don't listen to radio much these days.

End of season football or early season basketball? Not sure why that would be surprising

End of season football with absolutely nothing on the line or the start of a season when we came off a Sweet16 berth and a undefeated streak going into Portland(granted not against great competition). I would have bailed to BB if given the choice, but I don't pay the bills or get paid either one so it doesn't matter to me.

The older I get the more respect I have for Pete Taylor and Eric Heft. How the hell they managed to keep coming back to the booth week after week, year after year just to see ISU get destroyed. John has seen some **** as well, but nothing like that.

I love John and Eric, but did we stop paying them or something based on the responses in this thread? Are they volunteering their time now? Isn’t John a full time ISU employee?

Think of all of us that PAY significant money year after year to see some of this.
