Hmm, that's less than the number I've heard for years that it would take. Mostly because I was told they couldn't just replace the lights, without making some other structural updates as well.

I imagine it's a minimal update just to get up to whatever level NCAA/ESPN deem necessary for broadcasting games.

Hard to believe Hilton is 45 years old. I think it still has the original lighting system.

Hilton has held up extremely well. Compare and contrast to the hole in the ground that is Carver Hawkeye Arena (which is a few years younger, I think).

We've been lucky that they've done updates to Hilton, but the design is certainly one that has stood the test of time.

It's really too bad they didn't go with this one.

Would be nice to get some variety in our pre-game and intros. Now just need the court that can project like the Cavs homecourt. That would be awesome.
Let's start with getting rid of Jock Jams first- music selection is worse than the lighting.

Baby steps

They currently do better with Hilton lighting for gymnastics introductions than basketball!

Probably can do more with gymnastics as they dont need to have the lighting in the building be national network tv-ready immediately after
