Interesting timing... Obviously the Jazz needed to fill an assistant coaching position, but it's pretty ironic Hornacek comes back only after Sloan leaves. Am I reading too much into this?

I think so. Before Sloan and Phil Johnson stepped down the Jazz didn't have any coaching vacancies. Now they do, allowing for Hornacek to step in.

As a Jazz fan, I was sad to see Jerry go. Hopefully this will allow Utah to resign Deron Williams though.

Jeff was a special assistant for the Jazz for the past three years under Sloan before his current promotion.
