About a week ago I got a phone call from a 'hospital' (that i missed but the left a voice mail) to remind me of my pending appendix surgery(which I was not having) and to give them a call back. when I did tjen have no record of me...surprise

Just today my wife got a call about her pending goul bladder surgery (again not happening she pregnant) and once she said no they tried their hardest to get off the phone.

So it seems very much like a scam bit I just don't know what they gain out of since they don't ask for any personal information.

just wondering if any one else has had this

Not sure what happened to the do not call list, but it is worthless now. I get as many calls as I ever did.

I've been getting phone calls asking for Jose from a computer. Multiple times I have listened to the computer, pressed "2" for "no, this is not Jose" and they continue to call me. My guess is that this "Jose" guy is actually real, and is screwing up his number by a couple digits.

During the last caucus I nearly went out of my mind with dozens of political calls a day. I downloaded BuzzOff and I LOVE IT. A call comes in, I yell at them (it's me directing my day-to-day stress onto annoying telemarketers) and then I block that number. When that number calls me again my phone atomically picks up and hangs up in a millisecond, and I never even know it's happening. Since I couldn't find an app that blows a air horn in their ear, this is the next best thing.
