I don’t see this game as a must win- they’re all important when you’re trying to do something great.

This team has a legit chance to be 10-0 going into the Utah game. The next 7 games are all very winnable.

I think our team knows that and is going to bring it every Saturday and that all starts in Houston Saturday. LFG!!!
In a 12 game season, when you have expectations, every game is a must win.

Every game and winning 2 of 3 between UCF, K State and Utah are must wins to guarantee a spot in the championship game at this point

Their QB absolutely torched us in ‘21. Arguably Heacock’s worst performance.
Never should have lost that game. Defense played passively in first half like Heacock tended to do and let the freshman Smith gain confidence. Whereas the next week OK State blitzed the **** out of him and he folded in a blowout.

I agree, and someone needs to say it again, our attitude here towards this game doesn't affect anything.
I'm assuming 4-0 after this week. I plan to declare that it's all over, because of course, and I'll figure that we might as well play Houston because Alabama and Georgia are obviously ducking us..

Yeah I get really sick of the whole "we can't treat these these guys lightly or they're going to embarrass us". What do you mean I can't treat these guys lightly? I'M not playing the game.

Houston d doesn’t look bad on paper. We should shut their offense down though. Hoping for another 150-200 yard rushing game.

A big reason behind the September angst with Campbell is not just the Iowa game, but that the first conference game at the end of September can be off kilter sometimes.

Though that OSU game last year ended up being a good all around performance after the Ohio debacle.

Take care of business like we did last week and things bode well for us.

It seems like we're preparing better in these early games this year. That makes me think that we'll be fine for 4-0 this week, and also that it's all over.

This. We have to beyond the stage as a program of trying to calculate navigating to an 8-4/9-3 season. The next game is the most important because it is the next game. If you win the next game, all the following games get a bit bigger and you better be hungry for that.

I don't think we need to perform at top level but the focus and hunger better be top level for every game rest of the season.

This team will be ready, they will be dangerous and very unpredictable on offense. they will throw everything but the kitchen sink at us. we need to stay focused and play to our strengths. IMO Arkansas State was really no challenge after they played lights outs against Michigan the week before.

9 of us are going to the game! Of course, 1 of them is ISU (me), 4 for Houston, and rest there to tailgate, eat and drink inside. The place is going to be packed with ISU fans.
Awesome. I'll be there with my fam. Flying down on Wed night for a long weekend in the Woodlands. Got a parking pass in the black lot across from the stadium.
