I lived in Chicago when the username was born. Now live in Ames.

That's certainly a pretty bland rationale for my name, but I felt strangely compelled to respond to this thread.

I wanted to make a pun off of someone's name on the basketball team last year, and this one was too funny not to use.

Yes, the list is endless...

Jack Welch
Michael Eisner
Lee Iacocca
Mark Zuckerberg
Steve Jobs
Bill Gates
Warren Buffett
Jeff Bezos
Donald Trump
Elon Musk (0 first names)

...and so on

That is a good story, though!

Although Musk would make quite a dashing first name

Are you little? And, while I'm at it, are you doin' fine?

Whoa, you are old. (as am I, I guess..)

Janice was an alt I used while banned for a while. It's an homage to The Beastie Boys' "Ask For Janice".

Iowa State got a #2 seed the year that Fizer and Tinsley ran the show, which is also the year that I became a diehard Cyclone fan. Hence, No. 2 Cyclones.

Born from coincidences... I lived in Brooklyn, and am obviously a cyclone fan. Took a trip to Coney Island, rode on the Cyclone roller coaster and went to a Brooklyn Cyclones game(minor league baseball team, Logo is my long standing avatar).

It started as CycloneKC on the original DM Register message boards. When they changed formats, CycloneKC was "already taken", so it changed to KCClone, which many of the users read as KCCI one (it's KC Clone). They then assumed I worked for channel 8.

When the Register changed to Facebook logins I migrated to the ESPN boards, where I was still able to use KCClone. When ESPN changed to FB logins, I moved here, but unsuccessfully tried about twenty combinations to get close to KCClone. Finally threw up my hands & said dammit, I'm just KC Clone. Left the dammit part off, and there you have it. :)

Picked it up on my first Afghan deployment back in 2003. At that time, Steve-o and the Jack*** crew were really popular.

I was clearly pretty high on kool aid when I chose mine.

I haven't expected the Cubs to win **** the last 5-6 years, so not sure what I was thinking.

And you all know Iowa States history at winning.

Bring Back Hilton Magic. Before I join, no Hilton magic. I join, Hilton magic returns. Coincidence? I don't think so.

1. My son said it when whining that his 8:00 a.m. Differential Equation class was in Town Engineering instead of Carver, which is conveniently close to Helser, where he lived at the time.

2. Carver Hawkeye Arena reminds me of a mausoleum and I prefer our math building to it.
