I'm sure someone has already posted this video on Sedrick Johnson playing basketball...but does anyone else think he could play the role Rahshon did...mainly because he has a 40 inch vertical and he looks like he loves to dunk on people!

He could be a very good d1 player, but with him concentrating on football, he'll probably see only spot duty.

For the twentieth time this has been posted...no. He'll be concentrating on football.

Ok. I met to say when he does play he may have the same role Rahshon had...just not as big of a role.

Academics are going to be a huge factor as to whether or not he'll be able to participate in basketball. It will already be a huge adjustment to college life (classes, practices and games, tutoring, etc.) let alone trying to play 2 sports in overlapping seasons. I'm not saying he can't do it but I do expect him like any other freshman to go through a period of adjustment.

and what if he flopped in football and excelled in bball?

I would have to guess the basketball experiment would be over very quickly. He isn't getting a football scholarship to play basketball. If he isn't performing up to snuff in football, I would guess Chizik would put an and to it very quickly.

playing two sports is a bonus imo because yes... if he sucks it up at one, he still has another sport that he has potential at

btw... those mad hops on dunks will translate to sick catches in the endzone, i know it

Sorry, I didn't see the "18th post" part.

Playing defense like Rahshon takes not only ability, but a great amount of effort and concentration. I'm not sure that a two sport athlete, let alone one with a need to focus on academics, could accomplish that level of effort consistently.

There, does that sound better?

Two words; Stevie Johnson. Stevie was an excellent athlete and contributed on the football field..........after his basketball career had ended
