I would hope the Liberty Bowl or Pollard pass on the Liberty Bowl if it comes to that. Seriously, no one wants that **** anymore.

Well, we probably won't win our bowl game because... we don't prepare for bowl games. I think we beat Cincy and somehow manage to play our best game of the year and barely beat K-State. Will lose to Utah and our bowl opponent. So 9-5 overall. Not a bad season, but not great considering we started 7-0.
Yeah....
It is the Holy War so there's the rivalry aspect, but I'll just hope we figure something out and Utah tones it down I guess.

I don’t think I’d call us a “great” basketball school until we win it all or even just get to a Final 4. Until then, I’d call us a good basketball school.
As far as wins, we’ll win 2 of the next 3 to finish 9-3. We’re beating Cincinnati at home, then we’ll take 1 of the 2 we’ll be underdogs in against Utah or K-State. We ALWAYS play lights out in a game we’re not supposed to.
If we don’t and we finish 8-4, that’s still a great season by Iowa State standards, but it also means we’d be 1 of only a few (maybe 2?) schools in division 1 football to never win 10 games in a season now that Indiana has done it. Yay.
Right now? One . Maybe 2 if we beat Cincinnati.
I think Utah is a decent matchup. Tough, but decent.
The two home games... IDK. Cincinnati is very beatable, but so was Kansas and Tech. And we struggled versus UCF.
K-State...I'd love to beat but honestly...both programs are kinda struggling so that one is hard to say. If we or they right the ship, that's where I'd lean. Right now... money might slightly be on K-State cause our defense is starting to take on water and our offense isn't enough consistently to bail us out.

it is much easier to look good against WVU as they have a pedestrian passing game, no game breaking talent on offense. WVU's pass defense is also dead last in football 134/134. I think ISU is solid, but matches up better agfainst teams like WVU and baylor than kansas and tt who can sling it to playmakers all over the field.
I think we regroup and win a hard fought cincy game which should not be close but it probably will.
I think Colorado beats Utah next week which means Utah would have to beat isu and UCF to go to a bowl. It’s also senior night at Utah so I give us about a 20% chance at that game.
ksu has a mobile QB and is decent but it’s also our senior night so I will give us the win
KSU assuming they win against asu and cincy will be the only ranked conference team we play and the 2nd ranked team all year which is another reason people are bummed. If we can not make the title game this year then it’s probably never going to happen.

Why wouldn't the Cinci game be close?
Like what has ISU shown even when they were winning that they should beat anyone easily?
Have they even beat anyone with an pulse easily?
Pollard loves the Liberty bowl. He would lobby just as hard for it as he did last year.
Probably never win a game ever again. Might as well shut down the football program and bring back baseball.
Maybe just have baseball in Jack Trice to make use of it.
