It's probably been discussed recently in other threads, but how many (more) wins get us in the NIT? NCAAs? Will 7 Big 12 wins get us in the NIT? Will 8 B12 wins get us in the NCAA? I can see us possibly winning out at home, then maybe @K-State...
Have to get to at least 8-10 and Thursday of the Big 12 Tourney to get the NIT. If we go 9-9, meaning we finish the season 5-1, I think we have to be in the NCAA Tournament, especially if we win one in KC.
That being said, I think we finish 7-11, and no post season. We'll go 1-1 each week from here on out. However, if we win Tuesday, I could see a 2-0 week this week.
Depends on where the wins come from. If our sole road win is at KSU, and we get no wins in KC, I doubt we get into the tourney. If that one road win comes in Morgantown or Norman, plus we win a game or 2 in KC, then sure.I have heard multiple analysts say that 8-10 in the Big 12 is probably NCAA territory, and Seth Greenberg thought the Big 12 could get 8. I think a winning record could get us into the NIT.
P5 teams don't make the other tourneys typically.Dont forget the other little tournaments beyond the nit. With a young team, ot probably makes sense to get the experience.

You're right, but is that because they don't accept the invites, or because they aren't typically invited?
Personally, I would swallow my pride and play in any tourney possible to get the young guys some more development.
I think 4-2 plus at least one or two in the Big 12 tournament gets us in NCAA tournament consideration. I think four more wins gets us in the NIT.
CIT is only for mid majors. CBI anymore has been 100% mid majors. I do remember years ago though Texas, Pitt, and I think Oregon State have been in it. Need to finish 16-15 minimum to be eligible for the NIT. Even then, it’s a pretty fine line between the bubble and making the NIT. I’d love to see this team at least finish 17-14 at minimum and hope for an NIT bid.
The Hoks did....oh, you said P5 teams.P5 teams don't make the other tourneys typically.
