So as I'm laying in bed not wanting to start my day, I am scrolling through videos on the Facebook. An ad comes up for Ceasars sports book for a guy that supposedly bet $250 on Allen Lazard to lead the packers in receiving at 200-1 for a possible $50,000 payday.

I'm obviously a cyclone fan that also recently opened a fanduel account in which i normally place small long shot bets or parlays. Is it terrifying how tailored to me this ad was? Yes. Am I going to go on fan duel and put some money on lazard to lead the packers in receiving after I post this thread, also yes.

Dude, i hate to break it to you, but all your searches and most of your conversations are recorded.

Ever just talk about something, not search, and it starts coming up in ads? I have, several times. Others i know too. You give permission to use voice and BAM its engaged.

I suppose the fun thing to do is get your buddies phone and start telling it you're impotent, have hemmoroids, et al.

No way out of personal data collection and targeted digital ads being served based on what you say, do or search. Companies have thousands of data points on most consumers. If i had your address or name i could tell you in seconds how many cars u have, own or lease, house financing, number of kids....on and on.

I'm assuming these odds are to lead the whole NFL in receiving yards. Lazard is the favorite to lead the Packers

I spend most of my day on a laptop. First thing in the AM I sign into Google and check my personal Gmail. I then spend most of the day signed out of Google, Microsoft, facebook, twitter ect. My phone (which is not set up to sync) stays signed into google all the time. It is amazing how different the search results are. Not just my news feed but any search I do.

You think that's bad, you should see all of the stuff that the mods see when you register for Cyclone Fanatic. We get access to some crazy stuff, and some of it is terrifying.

Speaking of which, might want to be careful with that little "excursion" you're planning next month. There aren't that many states that even allow you to transport a wildebeest, let alone do the things that you're planning on doing with it... Just sayin...

(Sarcasm hopefully very apparent)
