How replay helped KU today

They didn't help any momentum at all. However, this entire thread is a way of saying the stoppages were intentional from the refs. That isn't true.

I don't see how I even implied that. What I was asking is why is it that the officials seem to wait till the last second to blow the whistle on a play they likely will review. I've seen it in games across the country this year especially.

We dropped 2 balls on our last drive. Replay or not, it doesn't matter

And no, I'm not saying we lost because of play stoppages...having to settle for field goals in the first half and Arnaud's fumble were critical things...

I would like to say i'm hopeful that this can lead to something down the road but how many times over the year have we seen a loss like this "that we can build on" only to be disappointed.

Unless I'm mistaken, the refs don't overturn any of the calls. That's done by the replay official in the booth, the official on the field simply relays the final decision to the coaches, teams, and players.

Right but the way I understand it is that it is an official in the booth that is from their crew also. Nobody wants to make somebody in their crew look bad, and that's what would have happened if they had overturned it with the ball sitting on the 41 for everybody to see for that long...ref in the booth or ref on the field, they're all part of the same crew...
