I think it's embarrassing. Yeah you might have got a bad call but freakin deal with it like a professional. Why were they even in that position? Couldn't score a TD and kept giving Texas yards in penalties.
I don't know for certain that it will help a lot, but I know for certain it won't hurt recruiting. Who wouldn't want to play for the guy?

To me, outside of talent, recruiting hinges on recruiting kids that respond to your style. Some people actually do respond to being yelled and screamed at. Other prefer a emotional "I got your back" style like CPR. To me its not weather or not this style is better but at least our recruits have no doubt what style of motivation CPR uses.
CPR has a different style than Mark Mangino and different than say Ferentz, but different people will respond to all three.

It's like Rosie Perez said in White Men Can't Jump - sometimes when you lose, you actually win. CPR's emotions in defeat were absolutely a selling point for recruits looking for a coach who gives a **** about his players.
The only people who find it embarrassing are Hawkeye fans and who cares about their opinion. Seriously, everywhere else across the country it's gone over well.

I thought it was great, and if I were a recruit I would've loved it. That said, it's a card that you can't play very often, otherwise it'll just be sour grapes.
do we know who visited last night? i assume Thursday games with Football friday the next night are hard to get kids to come?
