Dallas Clark:

Freshman: walks on to the team in the spring
Soph: plays LB
Jr: starts at TE
Sr: Wins Mackey award for best TE in the nation

development? How about robert gallery? Bulaga? King? Kroul? Edds? Angerer? Greenway? Kampman? Roth? Sanders?

1-2 star recruits

I thought Clark skipped his Sr year for the NFL?

...U of Iowa's football success represents fulfilment of hopes and dreams some Iowans think they deserve -- it attracts the big egos and big mouths along with the realists -- in a State know for its otherwise average, middle of the pack ways being a Hawk Fan makes them feel like somebody in the eyes of the world.

As a native Iowan, I never associate myself with, nor feel like I'm supposed to be "average" or "middle of the pack." Also, the first clause of your sentence above ("big egos and big mouths") does not at all describe Iowa football in any truly realistic way, and is very unlikely to be the description used by anyone around the nation outside of this website.

didn't our o-line "dominate" (as some good analysts have said) their line last year = it's a year later and they are dropping us on our *** -- seems like a fair question to me? They lost people too??
Was reggie doing better than Ben does? Sure have not heard much talk other than about KO for the oline whereas last year it was common to hear about all of them. Just an observation.

This guy has it. The problem is recruiting not the strength and conditioning program. We just need to be patient and see if we start seeing some better recruiting in the next few years. I think we will.
It will really just come down to recruiting. We have already done the 2 star and big heart. We need 4 stars sprinkled on this team to be better. We need 4.5 speedster receivers. We need to take more steps to compete.

If the front seven on defense doesNOT get better it will be another beat down this week by K-State......

Same goes for the offensive line as well......NO BLOCK NO SCORE.

I hope this isn't a prediction, because if it comes true. We are BAD!!!!! I will assume EIU is that good and move on.

Statistically, You don't have to think you are Average: but the State of Iowa is.

In many statistics except maybe average age as Iowans are old.

"Big egos?" I was referring to the fans. And it fits more so than any other college in the State of Iowa.
