Google TV tried this but all the networks blocked access to it. I'm afraid the networks are going to be very stubborn in allowing us this luxury.

Related note: I love that Kevin Bacon commercial where he plays a huge Kevin Bacon fan, something about it cracks me up every time

But they are not blocking me watching it off of their website on the computer, the networks want me to do that. Which is why I was looking for a way to just send what's on my computer to my TV, hence the veebeam product I am looking at.

I will say that depending on the websites to be updated with the shows changes how some people may watch TV, if they are locked in to a specific time. But, I barely watch shows at there actual broadcasted time anyway, so it won't be a big deal to me.

Hulu Plus has junk for movies, but some decent docs. It has an incredible library of terrible tv shows too. It is nice for catching up on shows you've missed for a while and there are certainly a handful of old shows (new to you) to keep ot for a few months.
