I turned the game off last night when.....

OU got within 3 with about 1:30 left and our previous two possessions on offense were wasted with turnovers and on the defensive end we just fouled and gave them free throws at the end. Already knew how it would end. I will never again watch Cyclone basketball **** down another game with DG and crew going one on one at the end of games. I laughed my *** off when I woke up this morning and saw the score. Can't wait till next year when we get some REAL players on the court, but in the end we're still Iowa State and it'll most likely be the same outcome. Sorry for the rant and I'm sure I'll be watching the next game right along with the rest of you, but REALLY FRUSTRATED right now. Someone tell me this will end soon.

Where they love the governor
I'm with you on the frustration level. I turned the game off when we went to OT.

I just take a deep breath and try to remember that our team this year is severely undermanned and inexperienced. Things will get better. As I stated prior to the start of the season, I'd like to see some improvement. In the non-con, we were rarely challenged. Now that we're in the conference season, we are seeing good teams every game. I think once we finally get over the hump - and I believe we will - good things will happen.

Finally, let me mayor coach.

Really? I stayed in my seat til the end. I tend to support a bball program that is competing with deeper, more talented teams on a nightly basis and is close to pulling off wins in almost every game they play. This team has every reason/excuse in the world to give up once they fall behind by ten or more points, but they fight back EVERY GAME! Just because they`ve fallen short a couple of games is no reason to quit supporting them. They leave it on the floor every game! I can support a team like that!

Me also stay in seat until bitter end.

I paid for the seat. It's cold outside. I've got no reason to go anywhere.

Sure, I wanted to kick the seat (empty) in front of me, but I'm still not leaving.

You should change your signature. A team that finishes last in the Big 12 and might only win 1(highly unlikely) conference game, is not going to have the coach of the year.

I nearly left after we didn't get a shot off at the end of regulation, but I stayed. I was on the verge of leaving the entire overtime, but I stayed 'til the bitter end. I can't believe I still haven't left a basketball game early, considering how few home conference games we've won since I've been in school.

Sorry for the REAL players comment and I do and will always fully support our team. Just really tired of seeing a win go down the drain in the last couple of minutes. Not sure what the solution is being that our options are limited this year, but I do think getting the ball inside with a pass to the post or a drive by DG, Jake, or Scotty would help. The one on one at the end of games doesn't sit well with me especially when our guy settles for a jump shot. Get to the foul line or something. Again, not sure what we do different, but Fred and crew need to get this fixed quickly.

I know I'll get bashed on here for this, but I've never been really confident in our team with DG running the show. Too much dribbling. Dribbles away half the shot clock before we get started and have never been fond of his game in general. I do support him though as he has stayed with our program during some difficult times and done his best. Just sorry to say that his best doesn't always put us in the best position to win. I know stat wise he will go down as one the best guards in Cyclone history, but if you look at our record during his time here.....well you know.

I often hate our end-of-game play (or at the half), but it's not an uncommon play. I've seen and hated this play from a countless # of teams (which, of course, means that I have no idea how many anymore, just that I've seen it).

I was at the game, and I was shocked to see how many people started leaving when there was still 50 seconds left and ISU was only down 6. It wasn't looking good obviously, but it was still only a 2 possession game with nearly a minute to go, and people were flooding out of there like ISU was down 30.

I don't get the leave with less than a minute to go in the game mentality. How often does that work to beat the rush out?

Whether you leave with 50 seconds left on the clock or when it reads double zeros, everyone is hurrying up just to wait in traffic.

Yea then we got a layup with 30 sec to go, witch still put us at a two possession game. That is when i wanted to leave, but i stayed till the end. Because the OSU game showed me that a team can come back from 6 down with under a minute to play.

Yeah, I can never leave early. Always afraid I`m gonna miss a great Hilton moment because I left too soon.
