First play of the game I would set him out wide right and put him in motion and move him to the slot. If the corner moves with him, they would be playing a man pass coverage. The second play I would line him up on the left side of the offense to see, if the same corner was going to follow him where ever he lined up. Overall I would use Todd to try to confuse the defense. I would put him in motion once in awhile to make the defense change their coverage. I would line him up on the outside, in the slot, and even in the backfield, where he could be put in motion to either side of the field. If the defense plays a man coverage and the corner covering him follows him everywhere, I would call some crossing patterns where Todd would run a crossing route with either the tight end or another wideout to try to pick Todd's coverage. At least once or twice a game, I would throw a deep ball to Todd, even if he was closely covered tolet him use his height to his advantage. What I would not do, is position Todd in the same position almost every play and let the defense dictate whether or not I was able to throw to Todd. Todd is a great weapon, he needs to be used.
