He's doen that before. It was either a Nike or Buick shoot and he was supposed to hit the ball right over the camera. He said he was aiming for the camera and erring toward hitting it slightly high but instead it drilled the lense.

I've worked as a sports photographer. There's nothing worse than looking through the lens and something is coming at you. Your reaction time is way off. I took a baseball to the sprouts once and was destroyed on the sideline of a football game.
