I know this won’t be popular but right now Gilbert is a dtstraction to this team! Tamin is a true warrior and will be playing next week even if it’s on one leg! I do not question his toughness!! However, Keyson’s injury is more between his ears than anything else! I have heard this info from very credible people at ISU.
I think Gilbert is truly struggling with an injury obviously but agreed he’s a bit of a head case and injury is causing problems. Not sure how real of a team guy he is. Hope not true because when he is on he’s great but disappointing year for him unfortunately.

Happened to know a couple of pro hockey players pretty well. You know when I didn't want to talk to them was when they were hurt.

They were surly and frustrated especially if they thought things were not healing. Just a-holes. When they were able to play nicest guys in the world

Guys who are uber competitive and can play at highest level are usually wired different. Guy is just frustrated he cannot contribute

It really does suck that bad luck and injuries derailed what could have been an unprecedented regular season. We were 17-1 until Milan got hurt, Gilbert's injury really began hindering his production, CuJo getting pneumonia, and now heading into the NCAA Tournament we have Tamin with what looks like a fairly significant groin pull.

We legit went from one of the Big12 regular season favorites and looking for a #1seed, to a shell of that original team's potential in a span of 8 weeks. I completely understand why things went the way they did, but it's still hard to not be disappointed with where we are right now.

We are going to be a VERY popular pick to get knocked off in the first round by the pundits with these injuries.

Man I really hope we can heal this week and we can get ourselves back to some semblance of where we were. These guys have busted their asses through these challenges and deserve an awesome run in the Tournament!

Cyclone fan for almost 30 years. I can’t recall a football/basketball season combined with more injuries than this year. Especially to impact players.

Any more seasoned Cyclones remember another year like this?
Football this season.

Instead of just talking out of your ***, why not reference Bracket Matrix, which averages the brackets. Dated 3/13, we're tied for the second-best 3 seed.
LOLOLOLOL. You're angry. In my post I said second to last before today, which is exactly what we were on bracket matrix. Reading comprehension bud.

I want to see this focus and urgency next week when Lipsey and Gilbert are back. Everyone!

"One spot away from third-best 3 seed" ESciGuy - we're not even close to third-best 3 seed, quit talking out your ass. LOLOLOL.

Groin is like hamstring. It really limits what you can even do physically, AND its really easy to re-aggravate and make worse. Treatment treatment treatment, and hope we play friday not thursday.

And I guess just pray for a miracle for Keyshon. Would hate to say I have already seen his last game at ISU.
So if Gilbert hurt it January, why not shut him down back then and let it heal?

He would have sunk the dagger vs BYU last Tuesday if he felt well. Didn’t look like he wanted the ball.

Lipsey and Gilbert should just go to a healing spa for like six days. Probably should not have even be in Kansas City to begin with. I hope they can heal to a good level by next Thur / Friday. Good luck to them and the medical and training staff. Time to earn your money.

Some stuff you just try and play through. ISU was already down Milan at the time. A groin isn't going to get 100% better by taking a week or even two off, yeah it will be somewhat better, but you're still practicing daily and playing two games a week. He was probably able to keep it loose better when he was in there, now that he's been on the bench it's harder to get closer to game condition.

And seeing us hang with a top 20 team with both sitting and in back to back days of play.
TJ ball

Outside of 3 games this year, you know the floor is going to be high, and that they will compete

I’m confident those 3 games are behind us and we’ll compete in the tournament

But the injuries jeopardize our ceiling
