Mixed feelings. The more dominant side of me says, "hell no." Perhaps because of the many problems their exit caused the Big XII, they should pay an entrance fee equivalent to the money they made beyond what the Big XII would have paid them. Let them hurt a little bit like they made the conference hurt. Am I bitter? lol

Let them and Colorado back (i thought they were unhappy with the PAC12). Just leave Mizzou in the SEC.

Although i don't see Nebraska leaving anytime soon, too much egg on the face and they would have less power vs Texas today than before they left.

They also see the writing on the wall that they will not beat UM and tOSU anytime soon.

Yes. Ever heard of the prodigal son? Welcome them back with open arms. Add Houston and Nebraska and we're set. Everyone is happy.

Does Nebraska have grant of rights to the Big 10, though?

They need to worry about getting through the west before they should even think about trying to take on UM or OSU. If they can't do well in the west what makes them think they can do well against those teams? Outside of the typical Nebraska delusion of course

Maybe Nebby thinks being in a league with southern states will help their recruiting.

Just thought this was interesting, especially if it has any truth to it at all.

I don't believe it. Nebby acted too proud when they left and blamed Texas for everything and was bitter about losing their rivalry with OU. Now they want to partner with UT and boot OU? They think a new tv deal would be more than what the B1G delivers? Not a chance on any of this.

For the former teams who left, I think CU would be the most likely to return and ATM the most happy in their new spot and won't come back. Nebby was sore about UT and not playing OU and would probably want them, fertile recruiting grounds, and bury their ego to come back. Mizzou burned down their bridge on the way out.

I don't believe any radio host that says something about expansion or conference realignment.

For this guy, he is fairly new to the Neb market, and probably is enjoying the conversation/attention around his tweets and comments on the radio.

Why would anyone in a P5 conference want to be in the Big 12? We are a ******* mess.

You hit the nail on the head. What a dumpster fire.

While I have many fond memories on the Big 8, OSU playing Nebraska is not one of them. Good grief, they beat the ever loving crap out of us. That said, Lincoln was a great place to watch a game and I think we would have decent success against them now.

It's entirely possible that's why they'd want to rejoin the big 12, but I don't think they do. My point was just they thought they'd go in and dominate/compete with the best, but they forgot they aren't even as good as some teams in the big 10 west

Nebraska will never rejoin the Big 12 and no other Power 5 school will ever join the Big 12. Nebraska is finally going to be fully vested in the Big Ten after next year, I believe, and will make nearly $60 million a year just on TV money.....why would they walk away from that? This whole ridiculous story comes from some sports talk radio host in Salt Lake City looking for an audience and clicks.

And even if Nebraska were to rejoin, they don't really solve any of the Big 12's big problems with population, TV markets, recruiting base, demographics. Finally, the so-called radio host hinted at Oklahoma leaving and Nebraska taking their place. I would imagine only the slightest, tiniest reason Nebraska would ever want to rejoin the Big 12 would be to play Oklahoma again, if the Sooners are reportedly out, no way do the Huskers join up.

Very true that their "brand" has suffered but I don't see them giving up the stability and the money to come back. Furthermore, if they were to come back, I would think it would be to re-kindle their old rivalry with OU. If there's efforts to woo them, I would think it would be OU that would be reaching out to them, not Texas.

Let OU walk and add Nebraska, BYU, Houston and Cincinnati? Interesting indeed. I'd rather leave BYU out of it. That would make it a real Big TWELVE too.

OU to the SEC? If they're placed in the SEC West they'll come crawling back to the Big 12. No more ISU and Kansas level cupcakes. Easiest game in that division would be Mississippi State.

I think it's just clickbait but there are quite a few fans that aren't completely happy with being in the B10. Mostly because of travel and loss of traditional opponents. It's hard to see traditional opponents when you only play half your conference every 3-4 years.
The only way this would happen if there was a complete change in throught/rules in the B12 and some other bigger names being added. That would require a lot of backroom deals and I just can't see that happening based on all the B12 history.
