Even though there is some AI weirdness going on in some of those they are pretty cool. Still, I don't consider cinnamon rolls with chili an Iowa thing.
I grew up in Central Iowa and ate school lunch every day and never heard of this until I was in my 30s, and I'm far from the only one.Did you never take hot lunch in school? Or go to the truckstop when it existed in Ames?

My daughter's school serves it. After I heard about I would ask people if they had it or heard of it. A lot hadn't but some had. Just seemed to be a random thing if your school happened to serve it or not.Huh, my school served it quite regularly.

Until this week I'd never heard of this combo. Weird pairing imo
Just had one of the locals tell me that Kelce/swift are expected to be at the game
Ugh
Its really a north central Iowa thing. I grew up in central Iowa and never had it; wife from northern Iowa introduced me to it. Its honestly a great combo.Even though there is some AI weirdness going on in some of those they are pretty cool. Still, I don't consider cinnamon rolls with chili an Iowa thing.
I enjoy it but it's not chili.I don't appreciate the Skyline Chili slander in this thread.
We had it 2 or 3 times a month in middle school. It's just a better alternative to corn bread, even though corn bread is great with chili.I grew up in Central Iowa and ate school lunch every day and never heard of this until I was in my 30s, and I'm far from the only one.
Eeeek! Eeeek! Eeeek!Just had one of the locals tell me that Kelce/swift are expected to be at the game

Cincinnatians have an emotional attachment to it, and most recognize that outsiders may not get it. Count me as one who has that attachment. I now live an hour outside of Cincinnati, and when I miss home, I go to the Skyline a few miles away.I enjoy it but it's not chili.

As a side note, Skyline near campus was recently featured at the end of a very unfunny Simpson’s episode. They did their homework, tho no one eats Cincinnati chili out of a bowl:
Yes - cheese coneyThe real question is…would Charlie Kolar eat Skyline chili with his fingers?
Since it is UC Homecoming, Taylor won’t be the most popular singer in attendance.Just had one of the locals tell me that Kelce/swift are expected to be at the game
Ugh
