Hopefully it will live up to the first two. Interesting to see Ben Kingsley as Mandarin.

I'm curious to see what war machine / iron patriot's role is.

Yeah that is kind of confusing. It seems to me that they are just bringing back War Machine and giving him Iron Patriot's sweet paint job...who knows though? Seems like introducing Iron Patriot at this point would be a stretch.

The problem is that the Iron Patriot is Norman Osborne, and a different studio own's the character rights. I guess they are just kinda merging him and war machine into one character.

From the trailer I agree with the commenter who said

"Christoper Nolan would like his movie back"

that said, INCREDIBLY happy that this one seems to actually have a decent story and drive to it (Again, just judging by the trailer, but as I'm a fanboy, I'm hopeful) after the snore fest that was 2. (I still liked it...but it was boring)

I thought #2 was OK, but I haven't been able to get myself to watch it a second time.

They really trivialized Tony's alcoholism problem. I thought that really did a disservice to a classic storyline. Did not like that part at all.

Pretty much thought the same. I saw it once in the theater and thought it was entertaining enough. Definitely not even close to the first one.

LOVED the first Iron Man. I really like Robert Downey playing the part. Hopefully it plays the same as the sweet trailer.

Iron Man 2 does not take place after the Avengers. It is a sequel to Iron Man 1, set 6 months after that movie.

Solid movie, but 1 was better. Looking forward to 3.

I think he meant that if you already saw Avengers you could probably skip Iron Man 2 and roll right into Iron Man 3. I wonder how much longer Marvel will be able to keep this up. Going off of Avengers success you'd think they could just keep pumping out 1 to 2 new movies a year and print money, but who knows.

Well from the sounds of it they are already working on new individual movies for each of the Avengers as well as another Avengers movie, so I'd say this gravy train has a way to go! I know I'll be seeing them all!

I knew that, I just have to think they're going to start seeing diminishing returns soon. They had a ton of momentum that grew from Iron Man 1 to The Avengers. Now it kind of feels like they have to re-build and gear up for another Avengers movie in 2-3 years. I just wonder how many people will stick around for the second ride.
